Invisible Competitor is a service of Fraher Digital, run by Peter Fraher in the UK. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Plain English, no tricks. We handle personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Our lawful bases are: legitimate interest (running the check you requested, product improvement, ad measurement) and contract (delivering work you've paid for).
We don't sell your data. We don't add you to a marketing list without asking. We don't share your scan results with anyone but you.
Only the tools we need to run the service: our email provider (Resend), analytics and ad platforms (Google, LinkedIn), our hosting provider, payment processing (Stripe, which handles card details, we never see or store them), and the AI engines we query on your behalf (ChatGPT/OpenAI, Claude/Anthropic, Gemini/Google, and Perplexity on paid scans). Each is a processor acting on our instructions.
Scan reports and lead details are kept while they're useful to the service and to you, and removed on request. Analytics data follows the providers' standard retention. Ask us to delete your data any time and we will.
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to show you the data we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@invisiblecompetitor.comand we'll action it within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you think we've got it wrong, though we'd rather you told us first.
We use cookies for analytics (Google) and ad measurement (LinkedIn). They help us see which ads bring people who find the tool useful. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the free check still works.
